Tech Meeting

Hello,
Just a quick post to remind everyone that the next tech meeting will be this Thursday the 14 Th at 6; 30 p.m. We will have at least two separate mobile providers attending to show their stuff and answer any additional questions. Please try to R.S.V.P. if possible. Thanks and see you there !!!!

Summary of meeting and what's next !

Thank You to everyone who attended the first meeting. To sum up,we established a possible need for a tech oriented user group.We also discussed the general definition of Web 2.0. what it is and may become and the somewhat practical uses that it may have for today's real estate agent.Their was also some excellent discussion on hardware such as mobile phone use,software applications such as top producer and sharper agent.We talked generally about static web site use,blogging as a means of lead generation and video as a way to enhance the data for prospective buyers.I could go on and on....It was generally decided that Rob and I should start to define at least some of the different categories of interest and find 3 to 5 sites to start with that the group can review. Sounds like a lot of work but Rob and I could not be happier to accommodate. We love this stuff. This little thing could not have got off to a better start. Thanks again to everyone!!!!! I want to shoot for a November 15 Th meeting at my office...Please let anyone and every one know that they are welcome to attend! Read my previous post to get a background of where we are starting from...!!!!

Let's get started

I would like to invite any and all interested to join myself and Rob Davis on Thursday October 25 Th at 6:30 p.m. at 3554 Promenade Parkway Lafayette Indiana for the initial meeting. It will be quick and informative.We will have a simple agenda to start. Let's let this thing form and grow on it's own with ideas and interesting topics.Down the road I see an online forum of some kind....who knows what fun and exciting things may happen. Just a start

As stated in my last post,I have a little idea.I would like to bring together real estate professionals in the area to push the technology envelope.Some of the topics of interest that I have in mind for example are of course blogging.Also what are the top social networks out there and what effective methods are there to help create sales? active rain and my space come to mind.Listing sites such as Trullia and Zillow.What other Web 2.0? Google base,edgeio,oodle,fatdoor,locolism,flipping pad,property shark,redfin welcome mat,1000 watt....I could go on and on.I have at least 25 more years to go in this business. What will they be like?????? This is an open invitation to go to the edge! Oh..... and we can change the name of this thing... I am open to suggestions

I have a little idea. I want to interact and network with the real estate professional on the technology edge. Who in Lafayette will push the envelope for the next generation? I invite any and all in my area to join me in forming a completely open group to push that edge. I will post more soon to give details.
